Overview
The task is to provide a secure data channel for legitimate users using urban telecommunication lines. Description of the layout of the complex:
- QCS (Quantum Communication Systems) are connected by two optical fibers for a quantum channel and a synchronization channel;
- Software for creating an encrypted network tunnel and QCS software are run on the QCS sender and receiver modules; Client personal computers are used as traffic generators (via Ethernet interface);
- Management of the Complex is ensured with the help of a PC as part of the blocks of the sender and receiver of the QCS and the software installed on them;
Hardware
Hardware Specification:
- Sender unit of QCS (“Alice”) – 1 pc;
- Receiver unit of QCS (“Bob”) – 1 pc;
- Dedicated “dark” fiber for transmitting the QCS quantum channel;
- Optical fiber for transmitting the QCS synchronization signal;
- Client PC (“Client”) with Ethernet 10/100/1000 Mbit / s interface – 2 pcs.;
- Ethernet channels for communication between the QCS sender and receiver units with each other and with the Client’s PC;
Software
On the sender and receiver blocks (“Alice” and “Bob”) should be installed:
- NauLinux 7.4 operating system;
- Specialized QCS software designed to generate quantum keys;
- Specialized software for creating an encrypted tunnel with AES-256 encryption with frequent change of key information;
- Operating system NauLinux 7.4 or Microsoft Windows version no lower than 7;
